MARS is the first rescue group devoted exclusively to Miniature Australian Shepherds. Our goal is caring for, evaluating, and finding new homes for Mini Aussies in need and educating people about these wonderful dogs. MARS assists Mini Aussies of all ages, large and small.
100% of all profits from Shop sales go directly to providing for our foster dogs. MARS has no employees and the Shop is run exclusively by volunteers.
The adoption fees for our dogs do not cover all of the expenses that are associated with preparing a dog for its new home. Many dogs that come into rescue need to be altered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Some have untreated medical conditions that require diagnosis and surgery. Others are heartworm positive and require treatment. Our dogs are sent to their new homes with collars, leads, clickers, and several books to help ease the transition into their new homes. Sales of products from our MARS Store helps cover the expenses that exceed the adoption fees for the foster dogs within our care.
